Acceptable Use Policy

Campidu (“Campidu,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a platform for discovering businesses, engaging with listings, publishing business updates, sending messages, posting reviews, browsing product and services catalogs, asking questions, and accessing related business tools and features. This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) explains the standards that apply when you access or use Campidu. By using Campidu, you agree to comply with this Policy, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Permitted Use You may use Campidu only for lawful, legitimate, and authorized purposes. You must not use Campidu in any way that:
  • 1.1 Violates any applicable law, regulation, regulatory guideline, payment network rule, or lawful order;
  • 1.2 Enables fraud, deception, abuse, or harmful conduct;
  • 1.3 Misuses our platform, systems, verification processes, messaging tools, listing features, feeds, reviews, or payment-related functionality;
  • 1.4 Creates risk, liability, reputational harm, or operational harm for Campidu, its users, service providers, or payment partners.

2. Prohibited Businesses, Products, Services, and Activities You must not use Campidu to promote, list, advertise, facilitate, sell, offer, distribute, or support any business, product, service, transaction, or activity that is illegal, deceptive, unauthorized, or prohibited by Campidu, our payment partners, or applicable law.
2.1 Illegal, Harmful, and Unsafe Goods or Services The following are prohibited:
  • 2.1.1 Illegal drugs, banned narcotics, steroids, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia;
  • 2.1.2 Fireworks, explosives, destructive devices, burglary tools, or similar dangerous items;
  • 2.1.3 Weapons, ammunition, firearms, firearm parts, restricted knives, or similar regulated items;
  • 2.1.4 Blood, bodily fluids, body parts, or similar prohibited biological materials;
  • 2.1.5 Recalled, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited consumer products;
  • 2.1.6 Chemicals or hazardous materials where the sale, distribution, storage, handling, or advertising is unlawful, unsafe, or improperly licensed;
  • 2.1.7 Any product or service that presents unreasonable risk to consumer safety or creates liability for Campidu or its partners.
2.2 Fraud, Deception, and Illicit Conduct The following are prohibited:
  • 2.2.1 Fraudulent, deceptive, unfair, or predatory conduct;
  • 2.2.2 Counterfeit goods, fake documents, stolen goods, or infringing products;
  • 2.2.3 Identity documents, government documents, personal financial records, mailing lists, or personal information offered or used in violation of law;
  • 2.2.4 Scams, phishing, impersonation, false claims of affiliation, or misleading listings;
  • 2.2.5 Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, matrix programs, “get rich quick” schemes, or misleading multi-level marketing arrangements;
  • 2.2.6 Any activity designed to exploit, deceive, manipulate, or financially harm other users or third parties.
2.3 Adult, Sexual, Offensive, and Exploitative Content The following are prohibited:
  • 2.3.1 Obscene material, pornography, or explicit sexual content;
  • 2.3.2 Sexually oriented services or materials that are unlawful, exploitative, or restricted;
  • 2.3.3 Hate speech, hateful or degrading material, or content promoting violence, racial intolerance, or exploitation of crime;
  • 2.3.4 Content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
2.4 Regulated, Restricted, and Financial Activities You may not use Campidu for:
  • 2.4.1 Unlicensed financial services, unauthorized securities activity, or investment offerings that require registration, licensing, or regulatory approval;
  • 2.4.2 Currency sales or exchange activities without required authorization or licensing;
  • 2.4.3 Cryptocurrency trading, cryptocurrency operator activity, or similar virtual asset activity where restricted or prohibited;
  • 2.4.4 Forex trading, currency exchange, or similar regulated financial activity where restricted or prohibited;
  • 2.4.5 International money transfer or remittance activity without all required approvals, licences, or authorizations;
  • 2.4.6 Transactions involving annuities, lottery contracts, layaway systems, offshore banking, or debt financing/refinancing funded by card payments where restricted or prohibited;
  • 2.4.7 Any transaction or service that violates the rules of card networks, payment processors, or banking partners.
2.5 Gambling and Prize-Based Activities The following are prohibited unless expressly approved by Campidu in writing and permitted by applicable law:
  • 2.5.1 Gambling, gaming, sports betting, casino-related activity, lottery tickets, sweepstakes, raffles, staking, or wagering;
  • 2.5.2 Any competition, contest, or game involving an entry fee and prize where legal, licensing, or regulatory requirements apply;
  • 2.5.3 Skill-based games or similar activities where they function as gambling or are otherwise restricted.
2.6 Nigeria-Specific Restricted Categories Without limiting any other restriction in this Policy, Campidu does not permit the use of its platform for:
  • 2.6.1 Cryptocurrency trading;
  • 2.6.2 International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) activity unless separately approved and fully licensed as required by law;
  • 2.6.3 Forex trading and currency exchange where restricted or prohibited;
  • 2.6.4 Products or services that fall within the prohibition list of the Nigerian Customs Administration or other applicable Nigerian laws or regulations.

3. Prohibited Conduct on the Platform You must not:
  • 3.1 Post or submit false, misleading, inaccurate, or incomplete business information;
  • 3.2 Claim, manage, or represent a business without authority;
  • 3.3 Use fake reviews, fake engagement, artificial traffic, spam messages, or manipulative activity;
  • 3.4 Upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, probe vulnerabilities, interfere with normal operation, or overload the platform;
  • 3.5 Scrape, harvest, extract, copy, or reuse platform data without authorization;
  • 3.6 Use automation, bots, or scripts in a manner that disrupts Campidu or harms users;
  • 3.7 Infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary rights;
  • 3.8 Use Campidu in a way that may cause chargebacks, penalties, disputes, fraud exposure, legal exposure, or reputational damage.

4. Listings, Verification, and Vendor Responsibilities If you create, claim, manage, or verify a business listing on Campidu, you must:
  • 4.1 Have authority to act for the business;
  • 4.2 Provide accurate, current, and non-misleading information at all times;
  • 4.3 Ensure that the products and services promoted through your listing are lawful and permitted under this Policy;
  • 4.4 Cooperate with verification, compliance, moderation, and information requests where applicable;
  • 4.5 Refrain from using verification status to mislead users or imply approval beyond what Campidu expressly provides.
Campidu may suspend, reject, remove, or revoke listings or verification where we identify risk, non-compliance, misrepresentation, or prohibited activity.
5. Payments, Fraud Prevention, and Compliance Where payments, paid verification, premium features, or related services are involved:
  • 5.1 You must not use Campidu in connection with unauthorized, suspicious, fraudulent, or illegal transactions;
  • 5.2 You must not evade monitoring, chargeback controls, verification checks, or compliance reviews;
  • 5.3 Campidu may review accounts, listings, activity, and related records to detect fraud, abuse, or policy violations;
  • 5.4 Campidu may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where activity creates legal, financial, operational, or reputational risk.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement Campidu may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice where appropriate:
  • 6.1 Review listings, content, messages, feeds, reviews, reports, verification submissions, and account activity;
  • 6.2 Remove or refuse content, listings, or accounts;
  • 6.3 Suspend or terminate accounts or access;
  • 6.4 Decline, delay, reverse, or restrict features connected to verification, payments, visibility, messaging, or other platform tools;
  • 6.5 Request additional information or documentation;
  • 6.6 Report suspected unlawful conduct to payment partners, regulators, law enforcement, or other relevant authorities where required or appropriate.

7. User Reporting Users may report listings, messages, content, reviews, or conduct that may violate this Policy. Campidu may investigate reports and take action as it considers appropriate.
8. No Circumvention You must not attempt to avoid enforcement of this Policy by:
  • 8.1 Creating replacement or backup accounts;
  • 8.2 Using third parties, aliases, shell profiles, or related accounts;
  • 8.3 Reposting removed content or re-listing prohibited goods or services;
  • 8.4 Structuring activity to disguise the true nature of a business, product, transaction, or user.

9. Updates to This Policy We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Continued use of Campidu after any update means you accept the revised Policy.
